I. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for use of the Company’s in-store and online (where applicable) retail merchandise discount that is available to U.S. Associates, Retirees, members of the Board of Directors, and certain third-party Contractors.

In appreciation of their service to Hanesbrands, all Hanesbrands Associates (regular, temporary, part-time), Retirees, members of the Hanesbrands Board of Directors, and certain third-party Contractors, as well as their spouse, domestic partner, and/or any children living in the immediate household (all of whom are referred to in this policy as “Eligible Discount Users”), are eligible to receive a 30% discount on purchases made in Company-owned retail stores in the U.S., subject to the terms of this policy. An online merchandise discount also is available for product purchases made on Company-owned websites, provided an individual has been granted systems access to the Company’s internal intranet site or assigned a special online discount code.

i.

This discount is intended for personal use. Discounts also may be used to purchase a gift. A “gift” is defined as a purchase for which the purchaser does not intend to be reimbursed.

ii.

For in-store purchases, acceptable identification must be provided at the time of purchase. Acceptable identification includes HBI name badge, health insurance card, pay/ direct deposit stub, or Retiree Discount Card. All identification must be presented with a photo ID (HBI name badges satisfy this requirement).

iii.

Discounts cannot be used in connection with select coupons, rewards programs, mall discounts, and/or mall or shopping center coupons.

iv.

In-store discounted purchases are limited to in-stock merchandise and not eligible for in-store free shipping offers.

v.

Unless otherwise directed by HBI’s corporate management, all purchases (discounted at any percentage or amount) will be eligible for the 30% discount.

vi.

Absolutely no product may be purchased for resale.

Use of Discount by Spouse, Domestic Partner, or Children:

i.

Eligible Discount Users do not need to be present with their spouse, domestic partner, or eligible children at the time that the discount is provided in-store, but proof of their active status must be provided to the cashier at the time of purchase (e.g., HBI name badge, health insurance card, pay/ direct deposit stub, or Retiree Discount Card).

ii.

Friends, extended family, and parents of Eligible Discount Users are not entitled to receive a discount. Eligible Discount Users can purchase gifts for these individuals if they choose; however, the Eligible Discount User must be present to personally purchase these gifts.

d.

Eligible Discount Users’ Role as a Customer:

Eligible Discount Users are expected to follow all in-store and online policies for purchasing, returns, exchanges, price adjustments, and holds. While shopping at a retail store, the Eligible Discount User should consider identifying themselves as a potential Eligible Discount User upon arrival. This is because only store management may process an Eligible Discount User’s transaction at a register. Associates are always prohibited from ringing their own purchases, or processing any other transaction.

Eligible Discount User Appreciation Events:

At times throughout the year, additional discounts may be offered to Eligible Discount Users. These events serve as an extension of our year-round merchandise discount policy. All requirements of this policy apply during appreciation events.
